The Great Here After

The Greatest source of strength in life was and always will be my Dad, from the last conversation we ever had to all the messes he went thru with me, he was the best thing in my life. He called me on the phone a couple of days before his stroke, and said if you want to talk to or see me in any place between now and the great here after .,., that I should do it now. My truck was broke down and I had no license .,., but it fired right up and away I went. When I got to the house I grew up in and was greeted by him and my Mother he explained that he didn't wish to alarm me, but the doctors were killing him, and he wouldn't be around much longer. The three us us had a nice long visit and they assured me that everything would be fine, and I drove home.
